Poly Tunnel For My Organic Garden
This is what we’ve been up to for the past few days. Putting up frames, digging trenches, repairing burst water lines, covering frames with felt tape etc., etc. We’ve been putting up our first poly tunnel. We want to be able to grow summer crops through winter.
On one side we intend to grow organic strawberries and lettuce to sell at market, plus tomatoes and cucumbers for ourselves over winter.
The other side is for me to propagate and grow on herbs and other plants that are edible, that I will be selling at our local market every Saturday.
We’re pulling the plastic over the frame in this photo. Don’t we make it look easy???
I think we did OK for our first attempt at putting up one of these without any instructions. Anyway, it’s already pretty warm in there and that’s with a window still needing plastic and without a door (yet).
So now we just have to set up everything inside and we’re done! Now where did I leave my magic wand? I guess we’ll have to do it the old fashioned way for now.
Happy Organic Gardening, Healthy Living…
