More Flowering Chives In My Organic Garden

This is a small patch of plain chives that are flowering in my organic garden at the moment. Despite the heat they are flourishing. As you can see, the flowers of the plain chives are pink and in a ball, unlike the garlic chives in the post below, which are white and star-like.

They are a lovely mild onion addition to stews and casseroles. I like to include some in my scrambled eggs, with a few long stems on top for garnish. All in all, a top herb to include in your organic garden as well as your kitchen.
