Organic Gardening – Pumpkin And Red Onions
This is a photo sent in to me from Jim Henderson. I love to see what other people are doing in their organic gardens. As you can see, Jim’s just harvested a great crop of healthy red onions. In the background he has some beautiful looking pumpkins coming on.
That looks like enough pumpkin to keep you going all year. And what a bright orange colour – they’re gorgeous. Well done Jim and Noreen.
I planted mostly butternut pumpkin this year – they’re my favourite. A couple of them have split slightly, so we’ll have to eat them first. In fact we started on the first one for dinner tonight!
There are still new butternuts forming so there’ll be plenty to last us throughout the year.
Happy Organic Gardening, Healthy Living…
warmly,
Julie
