1stop Organic Gardening’s 1st Barossa Farmer’s Market

Well, OK – this was my second Saturday at the Barossa Farmer’s Market, but I forgot the camera last week in all the excitement.

So it’s been two weekends now and I’m really enjoying the buzzing atmosphere, the delicious smell of coffee and hot breakfasts and the vast array of produce from the other stall holders. Mind you it’s pretty cold standing behind my stall for 4 hours these fresh mornings!

So here’s a photo my daughter took yesterday.

1stop Organic Gardening at the Barossa Farmer’s Market

I’m not all that well organised yet, cause it’ll take a while to work out roughly how many of each plant I might sell each week. I’m mostly selling herbs, with a few other food plants as well. I sold out of my lavenders and thornless blackberries this week.

As I get excess produce from my organic garden through spring and summer I’ll be taking it to market to sell too.

If you’ve got an organic garden you might think about selling any excess you’ve got at your local market, or even restaurants. People love fresh, organically grown produce. Plus you might make a small profit and decide to do it on a bigger scale if you really enjoy gardening and talking with people, like I do.

Happy Organic Gardening, Healthy Living…

Julie
